Yarraville is easily accessible by car, train or even bicycle. If driving, Yarraville is just 7km (approx. 15 minutes) from Melbourne’s city centre via the Westgate Freeway. By train, both the Williamstown and Werribee lines service Yarraville Station, which is located in the heart of the popular Yarraville Village. If cycling, which is a popular mode of transport for locals, there are easy to follow sign posts taking you out to Maribyrnong and the CBD via the Footscray Road bike paths. A concentration of delightful shops, cafes and bakeries clustered around the Yarraville train station form part of the charm of Yarraville Village. Regardless of whether you get there by train, cycling or driving, you’ll easily be able to amble along taking in the buildings and their enticing contents. The Sun Theatre is an icon of Yarraville Village surrounded by a multitude of popular cafes and restaurants. It is a recently refurbished independent cinema that attracts patrons as much for its restored art deco fixtures as for the mix of mainstream and independent films it shows. The theatre complex dominates one end of Ballarat Street and the building contains a café and a book shop that often hosts talks and book launches by local authors.
The complex consists of 14 townhouses. The properties at Wilson vary from, 2 bedroom plus study to 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom plus study townhouses all with a single car garage.
The site and townhouse layout has been cleverly broken up into 3 clusters, each offering a different floor plan, and outlook for that particular group of homes.
Cluster 1 consists of townhouses 1 through to 6, with internal areas ranging from 162m2 to 187m2.
These homes have an easterly façade, with a level 1 deck from the kitchen/meals area facing west, capturing the warm afternoon sun.
Cluster 2 consists of only 3 tri-level townhouses, ranging in internal size from 111m2 to 115m2, and enjoying a northerly façade. Balconies on level 1 off the kitchen/meals area, also enjoy a northerly aspect in this group of homes.
Cluster 3, arguable the most desirable, consists of townhouses 10 to 14. These are the largest in the project with internal sizes ranging from 162m2 to 218m2. All comprise of a ground floor yard along the northern most boundary with townhouses 10, 1, 12 and 13 also enjoying level 1 balconies, again with an absolute northerly aspect.
